Community Meal Drop-in & Healthy Food Hampers

Healthy produce, bread and non-perishable food for children, families, seniors and individuals.

Along with a monthly food hamper, you can enjoy a healthy meal and social interaction at each drop-in. We invite you to shop in our grocery store style Healthy Food Bank to select food items of your choosing. Eligible participants need to be residents of Hope to qualify. On your first visit, please bring ID for yourself and each member of your family/household.

For more information about the Community Meal & Healthy Food Bank, please contact Liz, Bill, or Kim at foodresources@hopecommunityservices.com or (778) 601-6476.

We are located inside the Northwest Harvest Church building at 888 3rd Avenue, and enjoy collaborating as partners, friends, and tenants.

Individuals, Families, and Couples

Individuals, families and couples are eligible to receive a food hamper once a month on the first three Wednesdays of each month.

Order your healthy food hamper here >

We are open the first three Wednesdays and Thursday of each month for lunch & hampers from 9:30am-12noon.

We will serve clients with last names starting with:

  • A-J on the 1st Wednesday
  • K-Z on the 1st Thursday
  • K-Z on the 2nd Wednesday
  • A-J on the 2nd Thursday
  • Everyone is welcome for lunch on the 3rd Wednesday
  • Everyone is welcome for lunch on the 3rd Thursday. All top ups and giveaways happen on the 3rd Thursday as well.

This will be an adjustment but due to the overwhelming volume of people using our resources we need to make sure everyone is served in a safe and respectful manner.

On Wednesdays we invite you to shop in our welcoming and friendly grocery store style environment to select food items of your choosing.  We have a selection of healthy, organic produce from the Food Bank Production garden (during the growing season) and produce from the Food Recovery project in partnership with Save-On Foods.

A nutritious lunch is provided at each drop-in!

Community Meal

Join us on the last Thursday of the month for a nutritious meal. All community members welcomed.

We host a community meal on the last Thursday of the month, from 4:00pm - 5:30pm at the Northwest Harvest building at 888, 3rd Avenue. We invite all community members to join us for this free program. Enjoy your meal in our dining room.

You can sponsor a community meal here or give us a call today at 604-869-2466 to find out more about how you can sponsor the next community meal.

Our Community Meal & Healthy Food Bank programs rely almost entirely on the generous donations of community members, businesses and organizations and a small grant from BC Gaming.  We could not serve the community the way we do without the support of individuals, businesses & organizations like yourselves.  If you would like to help make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children, families, seniors and individuals in our community, visit our donation page today!
