At Hope Community Services our seniors programs provide opportunities to make connections, enjoy a healthy meal together, engage in volunteer opportunities, access support, resources and more.

Lunch with the Bunch

Lunch with the Bunch is a program that brings seniors together and provides an opportunity to socialize, learn new things, enjoy a nutritious meal and have fun!

Cost of lunch:  $12.00 (Subsidies are available – contact Kim at 604-869-2466 ext. 104 for more information).

Meals to You is designed to bring convenience and deliciousness straight to your table.

By cooking and freezing in larger batches, we pass the savings on to you without compromising on quality or taste.

  • Pick a soup and entree and a dessert for just $12.
  • Available daily (M-F) at our office 434 Wallace Street.
  • Delivery service available on Tuesdays with a minimum $24 order (must order by previous Friday).

Seniors Foodbank Day

Seniors are invited to shop for their monthly food hamper at a slower pace with other seniors from 10AM-Noon. Check the program calendar to confirm the days by clicking here.

Social Prescribing

We can support you to make a change to your health

Social prescribing is an approach to offering non-medical support that enables older adults to identify, set and achieve personal health and wellness goals.

A Community Connector helps to find appropriate local programs and services and provides regular check-ins to ensure clients are on track.

Eligibility:

  • 65 years of age or older
  • Residing in Hope and Area
  • Experiencing or at risk of: frailty; social isolation and/or loneliness; barriers to access community-based resources; frequent trips to primary care or ER

Referrals from

  • Self-referral
  • Health Care Provider
